Basic Quilting Intro

Have you always wanted to learn to quilt, but don’t know how to get started?  Well, this is the comprehensive class you have been waiting for.  In five day long sessions, you will learn it all, from fabric and thread selection, to cutting and piecing techniques, and finally to layering, quilting and binding your lap size quilt.  Do not be afraid!  If you can sew a straight line, you can handle this class!  We will teach you all you need to know!

1st Day - Fabric selection, accurate cutting using rotary cutters, rulers, and mats, and begin piecing.        

2nd Day – Continue piecing while learning how to obtain the accurate ¼” seam allowance needed and other essential techniques.                                        

3rd Day – Continued assorted block construction

4th Day – Layering the quilt sandwich.  Learn assorted quilting techniques.                                       

5th Day – Discuss proper methods for binding a quilt and finish up.
