E-Line Club News

Carolina Sew-n-Vac E-Line club is open to all of our Baby Lock Embroidery machine owners. Please join us on the first Wed. morning of each month or first Thurs. evening for a special project designed to help you learn to use your machine to its fullest. This is a free class although there is typically a kit fee of $25.00. Class size is limited so reservations are required. Please call 873-1981 to reserve your spot and kit.

Quilted Bag

Wed. Feb. 3rd 10am – 12pm or Thurs. Feb. 4th 5:30pm – 7:30pm

Create a fun little bag while getting the opportunity to learn some free motion techniques. We will also put binding on by machine using our zipper foot. This might sound like a quilting project, but once we add an off the edge zipper, it will transform into a bag! Then if you add a handle to this bag, it becomes a cute purse. You can even customize your own pockets to suit all your needs. This project will teach you a few fun techniques which you can easily incorporate into your everyday sewing. Please bring: Baby Lock Sewing machine, embroidery unit, hoops, basic sewing supplies, free motion foot, all accessory feet, black Gutermann sewing thread (please pre wind one bobbin with this thread), and a Sharps 90/14 needle.

Leather Embroidered Belt

Wed. March 3rd 10am – 12pm or Thurs. March 4th 5:30pm – 7:30pm

You read that right! Yes, we will be making a belt and yes, we will add embroidery too!

Learn how to set your machine up for leather embroidery. This fun and unexpected project will teach you all you need to know, from needle size and style to thread type. Leave class with the skills to successfully embroider and sew on leather.

Please bring: Baby Lock Sewing machine, embroidery unit, hoops, basic sewing supplies, variety of embroidery threads, and a new size 14 needle.

“Finding Closure”

Wed. April 7th 10am – 12pm or Thurs. April 8th 5:30pm – 7:30pm

The focus of this class will be closures; magnetic, snaps and Velcro. You will learn how to get top notch results and how to use the tools needed to create perfect closures. Be ready to complete a few projects in class.

Please bring: Baby Lock Sewing machine, embroidery unit, hoops, basic sewing supplies, a new size 14 needle, hand sewing needle, and variety of sewing threads.

“Yo Yos and Bows”

Wed. May 5th 10am – 12pm or Thurs. May 6th 5:30pm – 7:30pm

This final class before summer will focus on making a sweet spa bag. A little hand embellishment along with some neat tricks on your Baby Lock Embroidery machine will give us the perfect bag for you to pamper yourself with or to give as a gift.

Please bring: Baby Lock Sewing machine, embroidery unit, hoops, basic sewing supplies, variety of sewing and embroidery threads, and a hand sewing needle.

Love 2 Sew Club

Come join us on the last Wednesday of the month as we get together to take a look at new products and ideas from sewing, serging, embroidering and crafting. We meet from 10am–11:30am and all are welcome. The cost is only $5.00 and there is even a way to come for FREE! Ask us for the details.
