Patchwork Jacket

You asked for it, so here it is. Create a “Wow” jacket out of a sweatshirt and basic patchwork piecing. This simple technique easily transforms a plain sweatshirt into a fantastic jacket that all will admire.  Making one simply might not be enough!

Celebrations Jacket pattern

Sweatshirt with set in sleeves (one size larger than your

normal size – please pre wash)

Fabric according to pattern

Basic sewing supplies

Rotary cutter and mat

Thread to match

Sewing machine with new needle

*If you own a serger, it is great for sewing the sweatshirt back together.

Prior to class please pre wash sweatshirt.

Please precut all pieces prior to class.

Trim all ribbing off of sweatshirt (neck, cuffs and bottom.)
