Carry it all with Two Big Totes! This versatile pattern includes instructions for creating two spacious totes—large and extra-large—perfect for everything from beach days and grocery runs to weekend getaways and sewing retreats.
The wide openings of these totes make it easy to pack and access your essentials, while a variety of slip and zippered pockets inside and out keep your items organized.
Sturdy, over-the-shoulder handles provide comfortable carrying, and the reinforced base offers added durability for heavy loads. The easy-to-install zipper closure keeps contents secure, and when opened, it falls flat against the tote for full access to the interior.
We will be making the large size tote in class. You will receive more information after you register. Class size is limited.
Sewing level: This is a beginner bag class. You should be familiar with your sewing machine, be able to sew ¼ “ and 1/8 “ seam allowances, and be able to cut fabric by measurements,
Supplies provided: pattern and foam for the large size tote
What to bring:: Sewing machine, rotary cutter, thread to match fabric
Main Fabric (body, pockets) 1 1/8 yards
Lining Fabric (body, pockets) 1 1/8 yards
Coordinating fabric (inner pocket, inner divider, stabilizer sleeve, bindings) 1 ½ yards
Saturday fabric such as vinyl, canvas or cork 10” x 25”
Handbag zipper (4.5 or 5mm) Two - 24” single-slide zipper
1 ½ ” polypro strapping 3 yards
